Pledge Continued. . .
• Advocate for an open, democratic process in the development of City policies and regulations that includes those residents and business owners who will be affected as well as those who use the streets,
• Advocate for City policies and laws based on verified, hard data and impact analysis prepared and reviewed by qualified experts to inform public input and decision making, and
• Inform citizens and businesses of existing public policies and their impacts across the City, and work with neighborhoods that are losing, or have lost, parking due to separated bike lane implementation.

We Believe:
Street parking for small businesses is essential for their survival as they rely on customers from a broad geography, not just Cambridge. Additionally, the character of our neighborhoods is being changed from decades of city planning to keep non-residential traffic out of our neighborhoods to protect children, families, the elderly and the vulnerable. With the relocation of loading zones and metered parking onto residential side streets, the Department of Traffic, Parking & Transportation’s (TP&T) implementation of the CSO has instead caused an influx of commercial traffic and a reduction in residential parking. This makes us ALL less safe. In some cases, TP&T has tried to do minor remediation, but remediation of harm after the fact is no way to plan.
